Silverdale school is a SEMH school in North Tyneside. The school caters for the needs of up to eighty nine students between the ages of seven to sixteen. These students experience emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.

Our Director Austin Gibbons has been supporting the school since 2018. His role covers areas of Health and Safety, Facilities Management and GDPR. In addition he attends the school bi monthly and carries out workplace audits and liaises with staff and students over any concerns.

To date Austin’s work has included, the development of risk assessments, a new inspection regime to meet Ofsted and health and safety legislation. Above all this includes on-going advice and guidance. His desire is to ensure all staff are equipped with the relevant skills to carry out their jobs safely and securely.

Over the course of 2019, Silverdale will be expanding their provision both in terms of student numbers and educational delivery. This will result in Austin supporting the school in the development of processes to enable the school meet its future requirements.
