CASE STUDY: Network Archaeology

Network Archaeology is pleased to share that it is now ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified.

The Lincoln based business has an established history of delivery on major infrastructure projects with particular expertise in power generation, energy transmission, utilities and transport.

It delivers a complete, high quality archaeological service package, encompassing consultancy and fieldwork.

Network Archaeology provides desk-based assessments, through to evaluation, mitigation,  reporting and archiving – a thorough, start to finish service that meets all planning requirements, ensuring projects can move forwards.

One of Network Archaeology’s most successful projects is the Lincoln Eastern Bypass, which they finished in 2018. It was Lincolnshire’s largest ever archaeological excavation, producing 250,000 artefacts and employing 100 staff for two years.

Network Archaeology’s SHEQ Officer, Joshua Manvell manages all aspects of health and safety for the business.

He explained “We reached a point where we wanted to better the business and had already achieved a number of recognised accreditations.

We were looking at ISO and researched different companies to support us on a consultancy basis. The great thing about Compliant is that Mark was happy to work with what we already had in place. He was friendly, reasonably priced and tailored the process to our business.

Becoming UKAS ISO 9001 and 14001 accredited will not only benefit the company as a whole but will help us to win tenders and take on new projects.

We now have a good quality management system in place and are already seeing the results. A client commented on our latest certifications this week which showed that we are moving in the right direction.

A very good experience from start to finish. Communication has been great, and Mark is always available and constantly updating us. Everything has been streamlined.

Thanks for all of your feedback and ongoing support.”

Compliant Director and BSI Lead Auditor, Mark Henderson commented on the recent partnership with Network Archaeology: “We were pleased to see another great company achieve their certifications and glad to hear that they are noticing the impact already.

The combination of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 will put Network Archaeology in an extremely strong position, especially with tender submissions.

We are excited to see what the future holds for this company and look forward to supporting the team on their journey.”
