Compliant celebrates World Standards Day

Today marks World Standards Day. An awareness day that celebrates the collaborative efforts of thousands of experts worldwide who develop the voluntary technical agreements that are published as International Standards.

This year’s World Standards Day is about our shared vision for a better world.

To reach the ambitious Sustainable Development Goals many public and private partners, are coming together to make use of all available tools, including international standards and conformity assessment.

The global pandemic revealed the necessity of addressing Sustainable Development Goals in an inclusive way. Something that we are passionate about here at Compliant. The overall aim is to strengthen our societies and make them more resilient and equitable.

But how do we do this?

The entire standards system is built on collaboration. By coming together, we are empowering people with real-world solutions to face sustainability challenges head-on.

This World Standards Day we are promoting our three most popular UKAS accredited standards and the sustainability benefits that they can bring to any business:

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is the internationally ISO standard recognised for quality management.

This is our most popular management systems and organisations that hold an ISO 9001 certificate are recognised in the UK and internationally for high quality in the way that their business is managed.

Take a look at KASL Precision Engineering, who successfully achieved ISO 9001.

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 sets the standard for Environmental Management Systems.

Your business can reduce waste management costs and demonstrate your commitment to protecting the environment with the ISO 14001 certification.

Check out Gas King who recently achieved ISO 14001 alongside their other UKAS accredited certifications.

ISO 22301

ISO 22301 sets the standard for security and resilience. Business continuity management systems.

This international standard details the requirements of a business continuity management system (BCMS). It enables organizations to prepare for disruptive incidents that might otherwise prevent them from achieving their objectives.

ISO 27001

ISO 27001 is the internationally recognised standard for information security management proficiency.

ISO 27001 certification demonstrates that your business has systems in place to protect corporate information and data, whether this is online or offline.

Context Consulting recently achieves ISO 27001 alongside ISO 9001 with Compliant.

ISO 45001

The ISO 45001 Standard for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) provides organisations with a solution to better manage health and safety risks, while reducing associated costs.

Released in March 2018, the standard replaces OHSAS 18001 and allows management system integration with other ISO standards, which provides a more streamlined approach to multiple system management.

North East based business, CoreHaus successfully achieved ISO 45001 with Compliant in April this year.
