CASE STUDY: Paint manufacturer, Palatine Paints achieves ISO 9001
Superior quality industrial and decorative paints manufacturer, Palatine Paints achieves ISO 9001 with Compliant.
Why Palatine Paints decided to invest in ISO 9001
The UK’s most trusted paint manufacturer and supplier, Palatine Paints has achieved ISO 9001 with Compliant. The Leigh, Lancashire based business has been operating for over 75 years and has a solid base of happy returning customers from a range of industry sectors.
We met with Office Manager, Vicky Robinson to discuss why the business decided to invest in ISO 9001. Vicky explained “We had a lot of the policies and procedures in place already. We just needed certification to confirm that all our products were being manufactured and delivered to the highest standard.
We have also found that as a business we need ISO in place to work with larger organisations and local authorities.”
The Process
Palatine Paints set about finding an ISO consultant to help achieve ISO 9001 within timescales and to support applications for work with the local council and schools.
Compliant provided Palatine Paints with a framework of processes and procedures that will enable the business to bid for tendered work and grow. Vicky added “It also gives our current customers peace of mind about quality of our products.”
ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and the UKAS accredited certification is recognised globally.
The Outcome
When asked about the experience with Compliant Vicky highlighted that “Mark was really good and supportive from the get-go. We had a 3 month turn around and everything was completed within schedule.”
Compliant Director Mark Henderson commented “We were delighted to have partnered with a Northern manufacturing business. The company had some great processes already in place that just needed to be structured to adhere to the ISO 9001 certification standard. The entire process was smooth due to the commitment and professionalism of the team at Palatine Paints.
Well done again everyone.”
