CR Systems achieves continued ISO 9001 & 27001 certification with Compliant.
Why did CR Systems decide to invest in ISO?
Based on the Isle of Wight, CR Systems provide feedback testing services to businesses across the globe including engagement surveys, aptitude and sales effectiveness surveys.
The company had been investigating the possibility of gaining an ISO standard for approximately two years before they took the plunge and started the process.
Following in depth analysis, it was revealed that many of their competitors did not have the quality and information security international standards therefore it would be a huge advantage for CR Systems to gain the certification.
Chris Ryan, Managing Director of the business, commented on the decision to progress with ISO certification, “On the back of market research, it was revealed that many of our competitors did not have UKAS accredited ISO certification or their equivalent, and therefore it was considered a significant advantage if CR Systems could gain the certification.”
We were convinced that gaining ISO certification could open further opportunities for us, particularly with larger companies. We had tried several times to manage the process ourselves, however the amount of work involved for a small company was just too much for us. We somewhat reluctantly decided to seek support from a third party. We reached out to around six potential suppliers. Compliant and Mark in particular, made it all sound so easy and straightforward that we almost didn’t believe him. We were allowed to talk to as many of Compliant’s customers as we wished who were all able to answer our concerns. This, together with the very clear information as to exactly how much time we would need to provide, convinced us that Compliant were right for us.”
The Process
Compliant’s Managing Director, Mark Henderson and Internal Audit Manager, Danielle Barry, worked closely with Chris and the team on making sure all documentation was collated and in place in time for their first year surveillance audit.
Following the audit, Chris commented, “The initial certification went without a hitch, just as Mark predicted but it was in the first full audit that Compliant really earned our respect. I am absolutely sure we would not have passed without their advice and support.”
The Outcome
Following the yearly surveillance audit, CR Systems successfully retained their ISO 9001 & 27001 certification, maintaining their UKAS accredited status.
Chris was delighted with the result, commenting, “I’ve got to say, Mark and Danielle were outstanding throughout the process, the auditor was very thorough and it was a tough couple of days but we’re delighted to have retained the certification.
Having now gone through our first yearly surveillance audit, we will definitely be more prepared next year and completely trust the Compliant team to get us through once again.”
