CASE STUDY: Contract Options
Contract Options achieves continued ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 SSIP NHSS certification with Compliant.
Why did Contract Options decide to invest in ISO?
Contract Options Traffic Management is a standalone company evolved from Contract Options, a national, independent recruitment agency specialising in the supply of permanent and temporary staffing solutions, with clients requiring labour, vehicles and equipment along with NHSS approved procedures.
Frequently requested to complete supplier qualification questionnaires to various customers, it made commercial sense to implement one overall integrated system which managed all processes and procedures.
Gaining the systems (ISO, SSIP & NHSS) would enable the business to tender directly for contracts and open the door for further opportunities within the traffic management industry.
The Process
Working closely with the team at Contract Options, we continued to support the company following their initial certification in 2019. Our monthly ongoing support ensured that all audits were regularly carried out and all documentation was up to date in preparation for their yearly surveillance audit, this was carried out without impacting on the business or their resources.
Being aware the company had limited in-house resources to manage the ISO & NHSS systems, we removed any pressure, timelines and compliance legislation issues as our team updated any policies and procedures and liaised with the external auditor throughout the process.
The Outcome
Following the yearly surveillance audit, the company were successfully recertified to all management systems, maintaining their UKAS accredited status.
Contract Options director, Malcolm Stock, was delighted with the result, commenting, “Successfully retaining our ISO & NHSS certifications reassures our clients that we are working to the highest of standards and will continue to provide a first-class service. Having initially been unsure of the ISO process, we were delighted with the timeline when working with Compliant. Mark and Danielle were very accommodating with our team, regularly organising meetings and catch ups on early mornings or late afternoons to fit in with our business. This flexible approach ensured that we weren’t impacted commercially, they understood that we still had a business to run whilst going through the certification process so this attitude was greatly appreciated by ourselves.
Maintaining the systems will open further opportunities for our company, enabling us to tender for further work and grow the business, we’re looking forward to continuing to work with the Compliant team and thank them for their work so far.”
Compliant Director Mark Henderson commented “Contract Options are a fabulous example of a business delivering a first-class service to their customers. The ISO & NHSS systems are embedded within the business and all staff onboard with the procedures and processes. Initially gaining the certifications is a great achievement, however, maintaining the standards is an ongoing process which many businesses need support with.
We are delighted to work with Malcolm and his team and are thrilled they have continued with their ISO & NHSS success.”
