Close Protection Security achieves continued ISO 9001 certification with Compliant.

Why did Close Protection Security decide to invest in ISO?

The Middlesbrough based leading security company, Close Protection Security were established in 2017 and work closely with the public and private sectors.  Initially deciding to gain ISO 9001 certification as they looked to gain a more established position within their industry, they also looked to target future growth and tender for larger contracts.

Needing to ensure that their process were in place and compliant, they approached Compliant to support them through the process.

The Process

Working closely with the senior management team within Close Protection Security, we provided all relevant documentation in the lead up to the 1^st year surveillance audit and ensured that all processes were updated and all information was in place for the external auditor.

Shaun Woods, Close Protections’ Operations Director, commented on the process, “We were given a really good timescale from Danielle (Compliant’s Internal Audit Manager) in relation to preparing for the audit, she ensured that all of our documentation was uploaded to the online portal, where we were required to support with this, we found this an easy process and simple to follow.  The surveillance audit was held remotely which worked really well for our business as we were still able to get on with the running of the company while Danielle liaised online with the auditor.

The auditor held video calls with members of our staff which we thought was a great way to ensure the process was carried out while not impacting on our day to day tasks.

The Outcome

Following the yearly surveillance one-day audit, Close Protection Security successfully retained their ISO 9001 certification, maintaining their UKAS accredited status.
