CK Beckett successfully undergo their ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 2^nd year surveillance audit with support from Compliant.

Introduction

Founded in 1984, Barnsley based CK Beckett was originally launched as a waste management business, due to continual growth, they have now moved into the removal and disposal of power transformers. 

Why did CK Beckett initially decide to invest in ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001?

With the company originally gaining UKAS accredited ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 in 2021, we chatted with Office Manager, Casey Clarke, on why the company had opted for the standards.

“As a business that operates with many customers in critical infrastructure sectors such as power stations, it was essential for us to demonstrate credibility and a commitment to quality, environmental standards and health and safety.

We often submit tender documentation and were frequently asked if we were ISO certified therefore it seemed a route which we should definitely explore.”

The Process

Two years since their original certification, the business has adopted the new processes and are reaping the benefits of the certification, Casey continued, “Being ISO certified not only gives us a competitor advantage but it has also improved our internal processes hugely.  The Compliant team help us to maintain the required paperwork and keep on top of everything so when the yearly audits approach, we know we have nothing to worry about.

The time savings have also been a benefit to us as now completing qualification questionnaires only takes a fraction of the time they used to.  When customers and suppliers know we have the ISO standards, they’re aware we are being audited by a 3^rd party UKAS accredited certification body so know we can be relied upon for our quality, continual improvement and first-class customer service.

Danielle and Ruth have kept us to date with all the paperwork requirements leading up to the audits and are there if we ask any questions, it’s certainly been a smooth process.”

The Outcome

Following the successful 2^nd year surveillance audit, the company were delighted with the outcome.
