CoreHaus which delivers innovative modular housing solutions announces its newest certifications; ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
The social enterprise teamed up with ISO consultants, Compliant in 2020 to pursue these UKAS accreditated certifications and demonstrate its dedication to quality management, the environment, health and safety and continual improvement.
Utilising the experience of its partners, Fusion 21 and Homes by Carlton and working closely with their supply chain, CoreHaus is proud to be designing, manufacturing, and delivering high quality, sustainable homes across a mix of tenures.
In January CoreHaus shared that it will open its first UK manufacturing facility in County Durham. This larger site, next to the A19 near Dalton Park, will provide more than 1 million sq ft of new employment space and could create 2,500 jobs.
A skilled team have been recruited to start production of its unique modular homes, which have already been successfully trialled across the region.
CoreHaus will now be able to expand production and perform a greater scope of work including the assembly of steel frames that are central to its modular homes.
The company’s five-year plan will see 1000 new modular homes built every year.
We caught up with CoreHaus MD, Scott Bibby to find out what he had to say about the company’s recent achievements:
“Becoming ISO accredited was one of the first things that we listed on our development strategy. In achieving these prestigious certifications, we hit our first milestone.
When I research suppliers, I always look for ISO certifications as they are the best management standards to have. Being ISO accredited gives us international recognition and provides a strong basis for everything else.
We met Compliant at a North East Chamber of Commerce networking event last year and after an initial meeting appointed them as our certification consultants.
Achieving ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for quality management, whilst ISO 14001 shows our commitment to conducting business in an ethical, environmentally sensitive and proactive manner.
In addition, we implemented ISO 45001 to ensure that we maintain the very highest safety standards and embed safety in everything that we do, guaranteeing a safe workplace for all employees.
We are grateful to Compliant for all their support as having these respected certifications will support our growth plans and applications for procurement.
Mark has picked everything up and ran with it, communicating directly and efficiently at every stage which is what we were looking for. We have had a great experience with Compliant and would definitely recommend them.”
Scott Bibby
Compliant Director and BSI Lead Auditor, Mark Henderson commented on the recent partnership with CoreHaus: “Compliant is delighted to have partnered with such an innovative and upcoming North East based company.
Scott and the team have been incredibly engaged in the process and having these certifications will make a huge impact on the company’s success, especially when growing at such a rapid pace.
We are excited to see how having these certifications in place will help CoreHaus to continue to grow and deliver social value across the region and beyond.”
