Legionella Management

Compliant FM offer a comprehensive legionella management service and support with ISO 14001 certification. Our services include risk assessments, cleaning and chlorination of water systems; water quality monitoring / sampling, acid descaling, tank refurbishment and all aspects of water hygiene / treatment.

Our consultants backgrounds and experience are in plumbing and engineering and have all completed accredited training courses run by the Water Management Society.

Managing legionella bacteria in hot and cold water systems can be difficult. These bacteria are dormant below 20°C and do not survive above 60°C. Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal type of pneumonia. It is contracted by inhaling airborne water droplets containing Legionella bacteria. Such droplets are created, by hot and cold-water outlets. These include atomisers, wet air conditioning plants, and whirlpool or hydrotherapy baths.
