We are now firmly into the Christmas season, which is an incredibly challenging time for everyone and none more so than those associated with charities. This is why the Managing Director at Compliant, Mark Henderson, has gifted each member of the Compliant team £25 to donate to whichever charity they would like, to hopefully spread some Christmas joy to those that need it most.

Our Senior Operations Manager, Yvonne, has donated to the Dogs Trust. They are the UK’s leading dog welfare charity and have campaigned for better dog welfare since the 19th century. It has now increased rehoming, caring for dogs and making sure to step in when our four legged friends need some support.

Our Senior Sales Manager, Gill, sent her donation to a sponsorship for Children North East, who provide services to ensure that all children grow up happy, healthy and safe; her son will be completing a dip in the North Sea to raise funds for the charity.

Our Executive PA, Kym, donated her money to the North East Warm Appeal, who gift Christmas meals to those who cannot afford it. The £25 will go to providing 5 Christmas meals for five different people.

One of our Key Account Managers, Donna, has donated her proceeds to Quinn’s Retreat in Shildon. This charity offers a retreat to those that are bereaved by suicide and want to just have a break away somewhere without having to face the challenging memories and questions of their local area straight away. The family who set up the charity lost both their son and daughter to suicide, so they wanted to offer people the opportunity to support what aided them.

Another one of our Key Account Managers, Cheryl, donated hers to St Michael’s Hospice. This charity aims to support those with terminal illnesses and their family by providing an area and the best possible care. Their professional staff and trained volunteers are committed to improving the quality of life for our patients and their families and carers.

Our other Key Account Manager, Ryan, donated his to Royal Star and Garter. They are a veteran’s charity who provide an outstanding range of quality care and therapies to veterans and their partners living with disability or dementia. Being a former veteran himself, Ryan hopes that this can help those who took massive risks to support others.

Our Marketing Executive, Alfie, donated his to his local foodbank, which has 40 volunteers working 260 hours a week, to help local people in crisis. This should go to supporting those that need help during this particularly expensive time of week.

We hope that our support can make a meaningful change for those that need it most this Christmastime.
