Why did Stoneworld Ltd initially decide to invest in ISO

It felt like the next natural step in our evolving business. In the past 2 years we have been growing in terms of revenue and infrastructure which has meant we have had to look at our structure as a small family business and scale this up to a commercial organisation able to service our customers requirement and operate to a consistent quality. This resulted in significant investment in Health and Safety, operational infrastructure and staff – a lot of time has been spent on creating a process culture at Stoneworld so we felt that this needed to be audited and ultimately recognided by an international award that could help guide us and acknowledge our efforts of internal improvement.

Stoneworld has been growing for over a year now, particularly through business to business customers and larger residential and commercial projects. We saw this as a good opportunity to solidify our offering to this market, and to help us strengthen our own systems and processes through compliance to the standard. We believe that this newer more robust system will help us create a strong structure with which to continue our growth while offering a high standard of product and service to our customers.t this needed to be audited and ultimately recognised by an international award that could help guide us and acknowledge our efforts of internal improvement. It will also reinforce process culture which maintains a high level of quality and safe operations also better access to larger projects, tenders and commercial applications. Strengthening of our own systems and processes.

Our decision was based around feedback we encountered online, as well as our interactions with Mark in the initial stages and conversations around what was needed to successfully meet the ISO standard. As this was our first time, we considered it important to have a reliable and knowledgeable partner to support us through the process.

The Process

As this was our first time, we considered it important to have a reliable and knowledgeable partner to support us through the process. Mark’s support was second to none, he listened to us and our requirements and objectives and guided us through the process of ensuring that our current quality management system was compliant with the ISO certification. Mark and his team helped us to spot gaps in our current processes which needed improving or tweaking and explained why this was and what an ISO compliant process would look like and how to get there. Mark was patient and understanding of a busy, ongoing business environment not forcing too much change too quickly for instance and helping us improve in practice operations

The Outcome

We have been very happy with the support and the result. We realise that ISO and compliance are an ongoing process and welcome the support of Compliant to help us implement and strengthen our processes. The support helped us a lot, we also found the auditor to be engaging and friendly which was helpful in itself. We were generally well informed throughout.

A very good experience, well informed, punctual advice and assistance when we had questions or doubts.
