Why Samuel Knight International decided to invest in ISO 9001

We are delighted to share that Samuel Knight International has successfully achieved ISO 9001 with Compliant.

Global provider, Samuel Knight International deliver manpower solutions for the renewable energy and sustainable transportation industries internationally.

The group operates several brands including Samuel Knight Projects; who invested in ISO 9001 with Compliant in 2022.

We interviewed Operations Manager, Alex Butler to discover more about the business investing in ISO 9001. Alex explained that “Clients were requesting that we explore a quality certification and we wanted to implement a standard that had gravitas behind it. ISO 9001 is perfect as it has that global recognition we were after and encompasses all the aspects of quality that we as a business are passionate about.”

The Process

Alex’s team approached Compliant for support with Samuel Knight Projects in 2022 and decided to adopt the quality management system on the ‘international’ side of the business earlier this year. Alex explained that “Mark was very reactive, and we knew that we could rely on Compliant to help us get started with a management system on this side of the business. The process has been extremely efficient. Mark provided us with lists of documents that were required ahead of the audit and built a management system using a combination of our documents and templates. We had another successful audit that was completely stress free.”

The Outcome

When asked about the experience and becoming certified Alex highlighted that “Mark was on hand the entire time and the support from Compliant was great. We are pleased to have gained certification for another element of our group and have a range of new documents to work with.

We are busy reviewing documents and embedding our new management system across the business. We look forward to seeing the impact that this quality management system has on our operations and the improvements it makes for our customers.”
