NCC Education achieves continued ISO 9001 certification with Compliant.

Why NCC Education decided to invest in ISO 9001

NCC Education Ltd is a global provider and awarding body of qualifications; providing students with the opportunity to earn internationally recognised British qualifications. The international business offers studies at Accredited Partner Centres, either through the classroom or online.

We interviewed Contracts and Compliance Manager, Adrian Ford to hear his thoughts on the company’s continued certification and how he found the audit process.

Adrian explained “We decided back in 2021 to invest in ISO to give stakeholders the assurance that our internal processes were up to scratch and adhering to an internationally recognised quality standard.

Having ISO 9001 shows our commitment to high quality services and being a UKAS accredited standard gives us the international recognition that we were looking for.”

The Process

Compliant’s Internal Audit Manager Danielle Barry worked directly with Adrian to carry out a GAP Analysis and identify what documents the company needed ahead of audit day.

As part of Compliant’s support an audit manager will collate all of the documentation needed on behalf of each client and develop a bespoke management system that is shared electronically with the auditor ahead of audits and surveillances.

Danielle explained “We work closely with all of the certification bodies and understand the questions that crop up on audit day; which means we can easily identify what documents clients are missing and how they can put appropriate measures in place to adhere to the ISO standard of their choice.

NCC Education were great at preparing everything required for audit day and sailed through their surveillance audit with only 3 opportunities for improvement.”

The Outcome

When asked about the experience with Compliant Adrian highlighted that “We were very happy with the process and the dedication from Compliant in helping us get audit ready.

Compliant’s assistance was extremely useful; they made sure that we didn’t have any gaps ahead of audit day and helped us to answer auditor questions when they came up.
