Why Core Group Infrastructure decided to invest in ISO 9001 and ISO 45001

We are delighted to share that Core Group Infrastructure has successfully achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 with support from Compliant. The Liverpool based business provides connectivity solutions for fibre-optic broadband with a full turnkey service from design and planning to full project delivery for internet service providers.

We interviewed Business Development Manager, James Neale to get his thoughts on recently becoming certified. “Implementing these well-known ISO certifications make us a more attractive supplier when we are applying for contracts. Having these will help us grow from a small to medium sized business and we can now consider tendering for the larger contracts. The processes and procedures set out in our new management system will standardise everything that we do and ensure we have good foundations to support this growth.

We have a full turnkey service, which is a stronger offer than any of our competitors. With ISO now in place and our unique service provision we expect to see substantial development.”

The Process

James explained that he “was researching which certifications would be a good investment for the business. We could see the doors that having ISO 9001 and 45001 in place would open for us.

We had spoken with Compliant previously and got a good feeling about the processes that they were recommending. We found Compliant was reasonably priced and set realistic timescales.

Mark sent us an understandable, detailed list of requirements and built out a bespoke management pack, ready for audit. He also supported us on audit days and was able to guide the auditor to evidence for every clause of the standard that was requested.

The entire process was pain free and we achieved certification.”

The Outcome

When asked about the experience with Compliant James highlighted that “Mark was great at working within our timescales and guided us through the preparation and the audit.
